Terms of Use
Last updated July 31, 2026
By using this service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not submit a video or use a generated result.
Operator
The service is operated by an individual merchant based in Hong Kong SAR under the public business name “Summarize YouTube Videos.” The service is offered online to customers in multiple countries, subject to local availability and mandatory consumer law. Contact hello@summarizeyoutubevideos.com for billing, legal, or service questions.
The service
The service turns public YouTube transcripts into AI-generated key points, summaries, chapters, transcripts, and exportable notes. Features, limits, providers, and availability may change as the product develops.
Permitted use
Submit only public videos that you are lawfully allowed to access. Do not use the service to bypass access controls, overload the system, automate abusive request volumes, probe for secrets, or violate applicable law or another party's rights.
Generated results
AI-generated summaries can omit context, misunderstand speech, or contain errors. Verify important claims against the original video. Results are provided for convenience and are not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
YouTube and third-party services
This service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google. Videos, captions, thumbnails, trademarks, and linked material remain subject to their owners' rights and the applicable third-party terms.
Availability and limits
The service is provided on an as-available basis. Requests may be rate-limited, rejected by bot protection, or unavailable when a video, transcript provider, model provider, or hosting service is unavailable. No uninterrupted or error-free operation is promised.
API access
API keys are confidential credentials. You are responsible for restricting their scopes, rotating or revoking exposed keys, and all requests made with active keys on your account. Published throughput and generation limits apply independently. Clients must respect rate-limit headers and must not attempt to bypass quotas or use the API to offer unlawful access to third-party content.
Accounts and subscriptions
Free summaries do not require an account. Passwordless accounts use either Google sign-in or a one-time link sent to the email address you provide. Google sign-in requests only basic identity scopes. You are responsible for access to that account or mailbox and for signing out of devices you no longer control.
Paid plans renew automatically for the monthly or annual interval shown at Checkout until cancelled. You can cancel through the billing portal at any time and keep paid access through the end of the period already paid for. Fair-use limits shown on the pricing page apply to each plan.
Refunds
A refund may be requested within 7 calendar days of the initial purchase or renewal by emailing hello@summarizeyoutubevideos.com from the billing address. After 7 days, payments are generally non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not by itself issue a refund.
Include the Stripe receipt or invoice number with the request. Requests are normally acknowledged within 2 business days and an approved refund is submitted to Stripe within 5 business days. The card issuer may take additional time to return the funds.
Taxes, receipts, and invoices
Prices shown before Checkout may not include every applicable indirect tax. Stripe Checkout determines location and calculates VAT, sales tax, GST, or similar tax where collection has been configured and is required. Stripe provides the payment receipt and invoice for a subscription. Email the contact address above from the billing address if invoice details need correction. Customers remain responsible for taxes that the operator is not legally required to collect.
Responsibility
You are responsible for how you use generated material and for checking whether your use requires permission, attribution, or additional review. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service or reliance on generated output.
Removal and enforcement
Access may be restricted when use threatens the service or violates these terms. A generated page or cached result may be removed after a valid rights, privacy, or abuse report.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory rights that apply where you live, the courts of Hong Kong SAR have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes. Before filing a claim, please email the contact address above so the parties can try to resolve it informally.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the service changes. Continued use after a published update means the revised terms apply from that point forward.
